"I believe every child deserves the best start in life which is why I have
highlighted this product for you."

Finding that really special gift for the child you really care for can be difficult. Birthdays, Christmas, Christening ... we can help you solve your present problems.

We truly believe that one gift a child will never grow out of, and you can be sure they will appreciate, is an investment. Whether the gift is for a son, daughter, grandchild, niece, nephew or godchild we think that they will appreciate the care you've taken to secure their future.

Our aim is to provide you with all the information you need to be able to make an informed decision. Investing in your child's future might allow them to start their own business, or maybe get onto this roller coaster of a property ladder, go to college or University, whatever you want them to achieve out of life it usually involves money.

What does the Children's Fund invest in?

The Children's Fund aims to provide above average capital growth over the long term, generally 10 years through a portfolio of investments in well-known UK companies. Normally shares in well known UK companies are purchased on behalf of very young children, which means that this increases the likelihood of them inheriting a worthwhile sum when they reach their 18th birthday.

How does the Children's Fund Work?

Up to the age of 18 the fund will be registered in an adult's name, but the account will be designated with the child's details. Once they reach their 18th birthday it can then be registered in the child's own name.

The Invesco Perpetual Children's Fun is a sub fund of an Investment Company with Variable Capital (ICVC). This is a collective investment scheme where your money is pooled together with that of other investors to form a single pot of money.

The assets are divided into shares - the more money you invest, the more shares you own.

Can I decide which way to invest ?

Yes. There are several different ways to invest on a child's behalf. You just choose the one that is suitable for you.

  • Regular monthly payment. The minimum payment is £20 per month and is collected by Direct Debit.
  • Regular annual payment. To celebrate birthdays or Christmas an annual minimum payment of £50 can be made by Direct Debit.
  • A single lump sum. For as little as £50 or as much as you like can be left in the Trust to grow indefinitely.

Which ever method you choose you can top up your investment, at any time, with amounts of £25 or more.
